The Gaius M. Cook Park Redesign Project proposes new amenities, including an adaptive playground, a handicap-accessible boat launch and dock, and expanded hiking trails, for Chenango County’s only county-owned park. This project aims to increase the local popularity of Gaius M. Cook Park through a community planning and design process that actively engages current and potential park users.

Working Model in Collaboration with Roy Park

A critical part of the project was hosting a Design Workshop for the people of Chenango County to come and voice their opinions about the park.

In preparation, we prepared a working site model of the park for members to visualize the park in a way they have not seen before and write their thoughts on opportunities, design improvements, general comments, and concerns and challenges.
